Why Choose
Black Granite

Black Granite's products are sourced from charcoal produced in Namibia, a country in the southwestern region of Africa. Invasive species in Namibia are impacting the indigenous plants of the region and causing land degradation because of bush encroachment due to years of overgrazing in the past.

Government-led initiatives are seeing these invasive species targeted with the waste being used to produce charcoal. Thanks to the Namibian Charcoal Producer’s Association, workers in the industry are well looked after and opportunities for farmers are ever-increasing.

Adds great flavour to food!
100% Natural hardwood

These wild bush species thrive in the hot and arid conditions of Namibia, making their wood especially dense, hard, and dry – ideal for slow-burning charcoal as they have excellent heat retention. The retort process also enhances the quality of the end-product.
